Jeff Kowell, Director of Life Safety | New Life Church

As the Director of Life Safety, Jeff oversees the New Life Security Team, Medical Team and the Ushers. The Life Safety Ministry touches all activities at New Life as we seek to serve the body of Christ. Jeff feels that Life Safety is a “priestly duty” and that we serve God’s people body, soul, and spirit to create an environment where everyone can worship, fellowship, and draw near to our Lord Jesus without distraction.


Bob Klamser is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Crisis Consulting International.   

Bob retired from a 23-year law enforcement career in 1994.  During that career he held a wide range of responsibilities, including command of a criminal investigation unit, command of a hostage negotiation team and command of the operations section of a municipal government’s emergency operations center.  In addition to his responsibilities with Crisis Consulting International, Bob has served as missions pastor and administrator of a large Southern California church.  He also serves on the Professional Services Network for Missio Nexus.

Bryan Gray is a Department of Homeland Security Protective Security Advisor (PSA) assigned to the North Texas District. 

He serves as a security and resiliency subject matter expert and is the link between State, local, tribal, and territorial organizations and DHS infrastructure mission partners. PSAs perform vulnerability and security assessments on a variety of Critical Infrastructure to identify security gaps and potential vulnerabilities as well as coordinate training and supports special events and incident management.


Dr. Sean Lawler, Tactical Instructor, Active Shooter Defense Instructor, Head of Security at Calvary Chapel of Fort Worth, and Federal Agent

Sean Lawler earned his Doctor of Management degree from Colorado Technical University within the concentration of Homeland Security Studies. He has conducted doctoral-level research within the related fields of active shooter defense and countering a terrorist attack upon a school. He has studied under subject matter experts in the field, including Dr. John Giduck, who is one of the leading experts on terrorist attacks against schools (including the attack on a school in Beslan, Russia and the attack on Virginia Tech). Dr. Lawler holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/National Security Studies from the United States Air Force Academy.
