Open Carry in Texas starts January 1, 2016 –

We have received numerous request for advice on the new Open Carry issue here in Texas. Here is our advice:

A church has a few options. You must post 30.07 signs at each and every entrance to each building that you do not want open carry or give verbal or written notice.

The same for concealed carry. You must post 30.06 signs at each and every entrance to each building that you do not want concealed carry or give verbal or written notice.

So to give notice for both concealed and open carry you would have to post both 30.06 and 30.07 signs.

My advice is for the church to decide what they want and then give people an oral notice. I only know of one church that actually post anything.
